Bayern Munich and Morocco are awaiting medical results after Ismael Saibari suffered a potentially serious ankle injury during the 2-2 draw with Borussia Dortmund in the German league.

The Moroccan midfielder was forced off in the 29th minute after being caught by a challenge. Nathaniel Brown replaced him as Bayern continued the match without Saibari.

Thamer Al-Shahrani, a physiotherapist who specialises in sports injuries, said his initial assessment suggested significant damage to the ankle ligaments, including the possibility of a tear. He also warned that the knee ligaments could have been affected.

Al-Shahrani published his early analysis on his official account on X after reviewing footage of the incident. He said the injury appeared serious and that the ankle was likely to be the main area affected, while stressing that involvement of the knee ligaments could not be ruled out.

The assessment is not a final medical diagnosis. Further examinations are required to establish the precise nature of the injury, the extent of any ligament damage and whether a tear has occurred.

Those tests will also determine how long Saibari may be unavailable and when he could return to training and competitive football. No timescale has yet been confirmed.

The injury has prompted concern among Bayern Munich supporters and Morocco fans, who are waiting for the results of the medical examinations. The findings will determine whether Saibari is able to play in Bayern’s forthcoming matches or faces a period on the sidelines.

The incident occurred during a closely contested meeting between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, which ended 2-2. Saibari’s early departure means the club and national team must now wait for a clearer indication of the damage before assessing the impact on his immediate availability.

Al-Shahrani’s comments highlight the seriousness of the possible ligament injuries, but they remain provisional until the player has completed the necessary medical tests. Only those examinations will confirm whether the problem is limited to the ankle or also involves the knee.

Enzo Maresca said Manchester City deserved a better result after losing 1-0 at home to Brighton in the ninth round of the Premier League.

The Italian manager described the defeat as similar to the loss away to Aston Villa, where he also felt his side had done enough to take something from the match.

“It is a little strange. I have the same feeling as I had after the Aston Villa game away from home,” Maresca said. “We did enough to deserve a better result, but we have to move on and try to win matches.”

Manchester City created a number of attacking opportunities but were unable to convert them.

“We created a good number of chances,” Maresca added. “Sometimes you have to be more accurate in front of goal and score, but it is important that we are creating opportunities.”

He praised his players’ attitude despite the result and said he had no criticism of their performance.

“Honestly, we did everything,” he said. “The players’ attitude was good, and I have no complaints about that or about the performance. They fought until the end and hopefully we will have better luck next time.”

Defensive errors concern Maresca

Manchester City have conceded 10 goals in their nine Premier League matches this season, twice as many as Arsenal.

Individual mistakes have begun to accumulate in the defensive line. Marc Guehi, who was left out of the team against Brighton, and Gianluigi Donnarumma were responsible for some errors during the match against Aston Villa, while Matheus Nunes made the mistake that led to the goal against Brighton.

Asked why such errors were occurring, Maresca replied: “Why? It happens sometimes.”

“Unfortunately, these mistakes happen from our players, but I think they are part of the game, part of football,” he said. “These are things that happen against us too often.”

He added: “We have to analyse what we can improve and then try to move on.”

Maresca also explained his midfield selection, saying he had expected a physically demanding contest after studying Brighton’s approach.

“I expected the game to be physical,” he said. “I analysed the opponent and watched their games. They are a team that relies on man-to-man pressing and strong challenges.”

“I think starting with three physically strong players was a good idea. I was also thinking about using the final 20 or 30 minutes to make changes that would give the team fresh energy, by bringing on Rayan Cherki, Alan and Phil Foden.”

Erling Haaland was not provided with enough clear chances, while Iliman Ndiaye produced a below-par display and missed Manchester City’s best opportunity in each half.

Maresca said the team’s attacking record remained positive but warned that avoidable goals were undermining their results.

“I think that, at the moment, we are also the second-best team in the Premier League for goals scored,” he said.

“That means we score goals, but at the moment we are conceding easy goals that we could have avoided. Hopefully, we can prevent that in the next match.”

The listed fixtures include Leipzig in the Champions League on 04 November 2026, Manchester City against Getafe in the Conference League on 05 November 2026, and Brighton.

Raphinha scored twice in the first half as Barcelona moved 4-0 ahead of Deportivo Alaves at half-time on Saturday, matching Lionel Messi’s historic goalscoring mark for the opening 11 games of a La Liga season.

The Brazilian’s goals came at Spotify Camp Nou as Barcelona looked to recover from consecutive defeats by Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid. The result was still being played out, but Raphinha’s contribution had already placed him among the most prolific players in the competition’s history.

His brace took his league tally to 15 goals after 11 matches this season. That equals Messi’s total from the same stage of the 2012-2013 campaign and makes Raphinha the joint-second highest scorer over the first 11 La Liga games in the past 50 years.

Only Cristiano Ronaldo has scored more during that period. The former Real Madrid forward registered 18 goals in his first 11 league appearances of the 2014-2015 season.

Raphinha has made the transition to a central attacking role this season, despite previously being used mainly as a winger. His performances in that position have come after Barcelona failed to complete the signing of Atletico de Madrid forward Julian Alvarez during last summer’s transfer window.

Barcelona began the match needing a response after suffering a 4-2 defeat by Paris Saint-Germain and a 2-1 loss to Real Madrid. Raphinha’s goals helped put them in control against Deportivo Alaves and strengthened their attempt to return to the top of the table.

Atletico de Madrid had moved into first place earlier on Saturday after beating hosts Levante 2-0. That victory put them one point ahead of Barcelona, leaving the Catalan side needing a win to reclaim the lead.

Raphinha’s latest display continued an outstanding start to the league campaign and placed his name alongside Messi’s in the record books, with only Ronaldo’s 18-goal opening to 2014-2015 standing above them.

Lamine Yamal responded to recent disappointments against Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, as well as finishing third in the 2026 Ballon d’Or, with a decisive performance for Barcelona against Deportivo Alaves. The 19-year-old scored twice and provided an assist in a display that underlined his importance to the Catalan side.

Yamal developed an obvious understanding with Fermin Lopez, who created several opportunities for his team-mate during the match. Barcelona’s second goal came in the 23rd minute when Yamal supplied Lopez, who finished with a powerful low shot across the goal.

Three minutes later, Yamal went close to adding a goal of his own. After receiving a pass from Lopez inside the penalty area, he sent his effort narrowly wide of the post.

The Barcelona forward threatened again in the 35th minute. He met a dangerous cross from Ademi with a powerful close-range attempt from inside the six-yard box, but Deportivo Alaves goalkeeper Sivera made an excellent save with his chest.

Yamal eventually found the net in the first minute of added time at the end of the first half. Barcelona worked the ball forward in a well-constructed attack before Joao Cancelo received possession inside the area and played it across to Yamal.

The teenager struck the ball first time with his left foot, sending it into the far-left corner of Sivera’s goal to score Barcelona’s fourth.

Yamal marked the goal by grabbing and pulling out the Barcelona badge on his shirt before holding it up towards the supporters. The celebration reflected his desire to reaffirm his connection with the club after a difficult period that had included defeats by Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid and his third-place finish in the Ballon d’Or standings.

He was not finished, adding a second goal in the 64th minute with a composed piece of skill. After collecting a precise pass from Gabriel Jesus, Yamal ran through one-on-one with Sivera before lifting a delicate left-footed finish over the goalkeeper.

The goal took Yamal’s tally for the current season to 12, including 10 in La Liga and two in the UEFA Champions League. He has also registered 11 assists, with seven coming in La Liga and four in the Champions League.

That gives him 23 goal contributions in total for Barcelona this season, combining goals and assists, and provides further evidence of his influence in the team’s attack.

Harry Kane described his performance as “probably” not his best after Bayern Munich were held to a 2-2 draw by Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, only days after he won the Ballon d’Or.

The result leaves Bayern and Dortmund level on 18 points at the top of the Bundesliga, with Bayern ahead on goal difference.

Kane received the award in his hometown of London on Monday, becoming the first Englishman to win it since Michael Owen in 2001 and the first Bayern player to claim the prize in 45 years.

The 33-year-old called the achievement “one of the best feelings I’ve had in my career without a doubt”, but endured a frustrating afternoon against Dortmund. Wearing boots with gold studs, Kane missed a second-half penalty before his misplaced pass was intercepted by Dortmund captain Nico Schlotterbeck, who then helped create the visitors’ equaliser.

“Today probably wasn’t my best performance or the team’s best performance, but that’s just life,” Kane told reporters.

“That’s just part of being a striker, a footballer.

“I probably could have been out there for another hour today and the ball wouldn’t have gone in the back of the net.

“You have to take it on the chin sometimes. It was an incredible week, but the focus for sure now is on the games ahead.”

Kane also revealed that the Ballon d’Or will be formally presented to him while he is with England during November’s international break.

The England captain scored 73 goals for club and country last season, but has made a slower start by his usual standards in the current campaign. He has scored four goals in eight Bundesliga appearances, although he has contributed six assists.

Kane set up Dayot Upamecano to put Bayern 2-1 ahead late in the match, but former Wolverhampton forward Fabio Silva equalised in the 89th minute.

“When you concede late, it always feels a lot worse,” Kane said.

“But, it’s nothing to cry about, we have many games coming up and we’ve got to put this one behind us and look forward to Tuesday night.”

Bayern travel to Atletico Madrid on Tuesday and could be particularly short of options in attack after Michael Olise, Ismael Saibari and Serge Gnabry all went off injured against Dortmund. Jamal Musiala and Luis Diaz are already on the club’s injury list.

Bayern manager Vincent Kompany is also unavailable as he recovers from meningeal irritation. He collapsed on the training pitch last Friday and was discharged from hospital on Wednesday, but will need additional time before returning to the dugout.

Barcelona returned to winning ways in emphatic fashion with a 6-1 victory over Deportivo Alaves, recording their 24th win in their past 25 home LaLiga matches.

Hansi Flick’s side had been beaten by Real Madrid in last weekend’s El Clasico but made an immediate statement at Camp Nou, taking control from the opening exchanges.

The hosts took the lead when Pedri released Fermin Lopez with a precise pass behind the Alaves defence. Fermin kept his composure before setting up Raphinha, who swept the ball into the net.

Alaves could have responded almost immediately. Angel Perez burst down the left and picked out Abde Rebbach, unmarked at the far post, but the forward sent a promising chance well over the crossbar.

That miss proved costly midway through the first half. Lamine Yamal slipped a clever pass into the space behind the visitors’ defence and Fermin finished decisively, driving his shot into the far corner for Barcelona’s second.

Barcelona continued to dominate and added two more goals before half-time.

Raphinha completed a flowing team move when Fermin sent him through on goal, allowing the Brazilian to apply the finish. Lamine then capped an outstanding opening 45 minutes by firing into the bottom corner from the edge of the area.

The hosts maintained their attacking intensity after the interval and should have extended their advantage when Karim Adeyemi was left unmarked six yards from goal. However, with only the goalkeeper to beat, he somehow fired high over the crossbar.

Barcelona eventually found a fifth goal midway through the second half. Lamine raced through the centre before calmly lifting the ball over the advancing Antonio Sivera. The effort was initially disallowed for offside, but VAR overturned the decision to confirm Lamine’s 10th league goal of the season.

With the result effectively secured, Flick was able to take off several of his key players in the closing stages, with Barcelona also preparing for a major UEFA Champions League match against Aston Villa on Tuesday.

The changes did not prevent the hosts from scoring again. Anthony Gordon ran in behind the Alaves defence and chipped the ball into the net to make it 6-0.

Alaves salvaged a late consolation through Mariano Diaz, but the goal could not prevent their winless run from reaching seven matches. They remain in the top half of the table.

Barcelona stay top of LaLiga and are two points clear of second-placed Atletico Madrid.

Lamine Yamal was named Flashscore Man of the Match.

The 20-year-old has made only four appearances in all competitions for Real Madrid so far in the 2026-27 season, scoring once in their 4-3 Champions League victory over Roma.

Endrick spent the second half of last season on loan after struggling to secure regular playing time in Madrid. His lack of opportunities has continued this campaign, with the teenager again finding it difficult to establish himself in the first team.

According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal are interested in signing Endrick and have been in contact with his representatives for some time. The Premier League club are understood to be attempting to persuade him to move to Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal’s preferred arrangement would be a loan deal for the remainder of the season. However, the club would also like the agreement to include an option to make the transfer permanent.

Endrick joined Real Madrid with significant expectations but has so far had limited opportunities to play regularly. His current situation has led Arsenal to explore whether a temporary move could give him more first-team football.

AC Milan ended Inter Milan’s unbeaten start to the Serie A season with a 3-1 victory in the Derby della Madonnina, extending their unbeaten run in the fixture to eight matches.

Diego Moreira was the standout performer, producing a decisive first-half display as Milan responded emphatically to Ruben Amorim’s first league defeat. Amorim made six changes to the side beaten by Bologna on Wednesday, and the reshuffled team made an immediate impact.

Milan needed only four minutes to take the lead. Moreira created space on the left before delivering an accurate cross for Christian Pulisic, whose header gave him a fourth goal in the Derby della Madonnina.

The Rossoneri doubled their advantage six minutes later. Returning midfielder Adrien Rabiot met Moreira’s low corner and produced a delicate finish that spun into the net off the post.

Inter attempted to respond through Yann Bisseck and Carlos Augusto, but both missed the target with headed chances. The home side eventually reduced the deficit in the 22nd minute when Manuel Akanji flicked Hakan Calhanoglu’s corner towards Alessandro Bastoni, who guided the ball beyond Mike Maignan.

Calhanoglu then went close himself, forcing Maignan to tip his effort over the crossbar. The midfielder continued to threaten from set pieces, with the goalkeeper awkwardly batting away another corner before saving Andy Diouf’s low shot.

Maignan made another important intervention before half-time, superbly turning Djed Spence’s attempt wide. Milan then restored their two-goal cushion in added time at the end of the first half, with Moreira curling a superb free-kick beyond Josep Martinez.

Inter needed a moment of quality after the interval to keep their hopes alive. Calhanoglu provided one with a clipped delivery for Augusto, but the wing-back failed to make proper contact with his header and later sent an ambitious effort harmlessly wide.

Nicolo Barella was denied by a strong block from Sankhoun Diawara and a timely tackle by Strahinja Pavlovic as Inter struggled to find a route back into the contest.

The visitors thought they had been awarded a late penalty, but a VAR review showed Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s cross had struck Mario Gila’s midriff rather than his hand.

Alphadjo Cisse tested Martinez from distance in the closing stages, but Milan had already done enough to secure a convincing derby victory and provide the perfect response to Amorim’s midweek setback.

The result leaves Milan four points behind Inter, who remain joint-top for now. Inter’s first league defeat of the campaign gives Lazio the chance to move three points clear when they play Cagliari on Sunday.

Flashscore Man of the Match: Diego Moreira (AC Milan).

Kelvin Yeboah, the Italian-Ghanaian centre-forward currently with Minnesota, has been linked with a move to Everton in the Premier League.

The reported interest would see the 26-year-old leave Major League Soccer for England, with Everton identified as his potential destination. Yeboah’s current club competes in MLS, while Everton are part of the Premier League.

Yeboah’s position as a central striker is the defining detail in the reported move, although no transfer fee or agreement has been announced. His market value is listed at €7m, giving an indication of the financial scale involved should discussions develop between Minnesota and Everton.

The link comes with Yeboah still under contract with Minnesota until 31 December 2027. That deal means the American club would not be facing an imminent expiry of his terms and could retain control of any potential transfer negotiations.

Yeboah is eligible for Italy and Ghana through his nationality, but no international involvement is specified in the details surrounding the rumour. The available information also does not indicate that Everton have made a formal offer or that personal terms have been agreed.

For now, the proposed move remains at the interest and speculation stage, with Yeboah continuing to be listed as a Minnesota player and his contract running into the end of 2027.

Mali midfielder Issouf Sissokho has been linked with a move from M. Tel Aviv to Leeds, with the 24-year-old defensive midfielder reportedly attracting interest from the Premier League club.

Sissokho currently plays in Israel’s Ligat ha’Al for M. Tel Aviv, while Leeds are competing in England’s top flight. The rumour, dated 31 October 2026, concerns a move between clubs from different domestic leagues and would represent a change of country for the midfielder.

Sissokho’s listed market value is €1.7m. His contract situation is also relevant to any potential discussions, as his current deal with M. Tel Aviv runs until 30 June 2027. That would mean Leeds would need to reach an agreement with the Israeli club rather than wait for the player to become available as a free agent.

The reported link does not confirm that a transfer has been agreed, nor does it establish whether formal negotiations have taken place. For now, Sissokho remains a M. Tel Aviv player, with his contract due to expire on 30 June 2027.

Milan made a remarkable start to Saturday’s Serie A meeting with Inter, recreating a scoreline from the opening stages of one of the most extraordinary derbies between the two clubs.

Christian Pulisic put Milan ahead after only four minutes before Adrien Rabiot doubled their advantage in the 10th minute. Inter were therefore two goals behind before the match had reached its early stages.

According to statistics published by MisterChip on X, Inter had not fallen two goals behind against an opponent in Serie A during the opening 10 minutes since 2 December 2016. On that occasion, they went on to lose 3-0 to Napoli.

The last time the same sequence occurred in the Milan derby was on 6 November 1949. Enrico Candiani scored twice for Milan, finding the net in the first and seventh minutes, but Inter produced a remarkable turnaround to win the match 6-5.

That historic result added significance to Milan’s fast start in the latest meeting, although Inter quickly began their own attempt to change the course of the game.

Alessandro Bastoni reduced the deficit in the 22nd minute, giving Inter hope of completing another comeback after falling two goals behind so early.

Milan restored their two-goal advantage just before half-time, however, when Diego Moreira scored in the 43rd minute. The goal sent Milan into the interval leading 3-1.

The 12th round of the Roshn Saudi League has become the highest-scoring round in the history of the competition, with 41 goals recorded across its fixtures, according to football statistics provider Opta.

The total surpassed the previous record of 40 goals, set during the fifth round of the 2025-2026 season, underlining the attacking quality and open nature of this latest set of matches.

Several emphatic victories helped establish the new benchmark. Al-Shabab defeated Al-Ahli 6-1, while Al-Qadsiah beat Al-Riyadh 6-0. Al-Nassr also recorded a high-scoring win, overcoming Al-Kholood 5-3 in a match where Cristiano Ronaldo scored three times.

The result was another notable performance from Ronaldo, whose hat-trick played a central role in one of the round’s most entertaining games.

Elsewhere, Al-Khaleej defeated Al-Hazem 4-2, while Al-Fayha secured a 4-1 victory over Al-Faisaly. Those results added further weight to the round’s overall goal tally and contributed to a series of decisive scorelines.

Al-Hilal scored twice against Al-Fateh, while NEOM beat Al-Diriyah 2-1. The round also included two 1-1 draws, with Abha sharing the points with Al-Ittihad and Al-Taawoun drawing with Al-Ettifaq.

The combination of heavy defeats, attacking performances and closely contested matches made the 12th round one of the most significant in the competition’s history. It was not only the volume of goals that stood out, but also the impact of the results on the developing race for the leading positions.

By exceeding the previous record by one goal, the round has taken its place in the Roshn Saudi League record books as the most productive single round since the Saudi professional league began.

The record was set during the round played on 06 November 2026, with the results producing a total that had never previously been reached in the competition.

Fermin Lopez underlined his growing importance to Hansi Flick’s Barcelona by contributing a goal and an assist against Deportivo Alaves in La Liga.

The Barcelona academy graduate made the breakthrough after driving into the Alaves defence and setting up Raphinha to open the scoring. Around 20 minutes later, Lopez extended his side’s advantage himself, cutting into the penalty area before sending a powerful shot across goal from a tight angle that caught goalkeeper Sivera off guard.

Lopez has become an increasingly influential part of Flick’s attacking plans. He had already played an important role before Dani Olmo’s injury and has continued to provide an attacking threat in the playmaker position.

The 6 goals Lopez has scored this season include 5 in La Liga and one in the Champions League. He has also supplied 5 assists, with four of those coming in the domestic competition.

The 21-year-old has now registered either a goal or an assist in 6 matches this season.

Bayern Munich were left facing a triple injury concern after being held to a 2-2 draw by Borussia Dortmund at the Allianz Arena on Saturday, with Ismail Saibari, Serge Gnabry and Michael Olise all forced off.

Bayern sporting director Max Eberl said the injuries suffered by Saibari and Gnabry appeared more serious than initially expected.

“The two injuries – Saibari’s and Gnabry’s – are slightly worse than we expected,” Eberl told German newspaper Abendzeitung.

Eberl added that the situation involving Olise appeared less worrying, although the club was still waiting for medical examinations to determine the extent of the problem.

“As for Michael Olise, it does not seem to be quite as bad, but the examinations are still pending,” he said.

Video footage after the match showed Saibari leaving the Allianz Arena on crutches. Olise, by contrast, was able to leave the stadium without assistance.

Bayern assistant manager Aaron Danks provided further details of the injuries, saying Saibari had suffered an ankle problem while Gnabry had sustained a muscular injury.

“Saibari’s injury was to his ankle and it looks fairly serious,” said Danks. “Gnabry suffered a muscular injury, and I am also not sure about Michael’s condition in the final minutes. The medical staff will now play a hugely important role in helping all the players recover.”

The three enforced substitutions overshadowed a match in which Bayern had to settle for a point against their Bundesliga rivals.

Danks said the team had mixed feelings about the result, but was pleased with the way Bayern performed, particularly after half-time.

“We have mixed emotions,” he said. “We are very happy with the performance, especially in the second half. I think we controlled the game well.

“As we discussed before the match, the opposition have an extremely strong defensive record, but we managed to find many different ways to create chances today.”

Despite Bayern’s display, Danks acknowledged the disappointment of failing to claim victory.

“In the end, we are disappointed not to win, but I have to analyse the match with the players and explain that the performance was there and that they did everything correctly,” he said.

“We had the right moments, but things did not go our way today.”

The draw came in the eighth round of the Bundesliga, with Bayern’s immediate focus now turning to the medical assessments that will establish how long Saibari, Gnabry and Olise could be unavailable.

Joshua Kimmich made his return for Bayern Munich in the 2-2 draw with Borussia Dortmund, playing his first match since the death of his father and describing the past week as one of the most difficult periods of his life.

The 31-year-old midfielder had missed three competitive matches following his father’s death. Speaking to Sky after the Klassiker, Kimmich said returning to football had offered only brief relief from his grief.

“It was an extremely difficult week,” he said. “I’m pleased to be back on the pitch. It wasn’t easy at all, but at least during the match you can forget about it for a short time.”

Asked whether playing again would help him through the period, Kimmich replied: “Yes, definitely.”

He also thanked Bayern Munich and the German Football Association for the support they had given him and his family. Representatives of the German Football Association attended his father’s funeral.

“I also have to praise the club for their compassion and for standing by me, as well as the German Football Association, who came to the funeral,” Kimmich said. “That was very special for me and my family.”

He added: “That shows me that I am exactly in the right place here.”

Kimmich’s comments carry added significance because of remarks he made about Bayern Munich during a 2024 documentary broadcast by ZDF. At the time, he said he had felt abandoned by the club during the dispute over coronavirus vaccination.

His latest acknowledgement of Bayern’s backing therefore represents a notable change in tone as he reflected on the way the club had supported him during his bereavement.

After discussing the personal circumstances surrounding his return, Kimmich also addressed Bayern’s situation on the pitch. The club have been affected by a number of injuries, and he stressed the importance of players’ wellbeing.

“When you see how many injuries we have today, you realise that, in the end, the most important thing is to stay healthy,” he said.

Raphinha continued his impressive form for Barcelona by scoring twice against Deportivo Alaves in La Liga, taking his total for the season to 17 goals in all competitions.

The Brazil forward has now scored 15 times in La Liga and twice in the UEFA Champions League for Hansi Flick’s side.

He opened the scoring after only eight minutes. Pedri found Fermin Lopez with a pass into space on the left, and Lopez delivered a precise cross into the penalty area. Raphinha timed his run perfectly before finishing into the net.

Raphinha struck again five minutes before half-time to complete his double. Once more, the move was created by Fermin Lopez, with the forward meeting his team-mate’s pass and producing a composed finish while running towards goal.

The two goals came shortly before Raphinha is due to travel to Singapore to join up with the Brazil squad.

He has now scored in seven of the 14 matches he has played this season, matching his goalscoring record in games against Elche, Athletic Bilbao, Rayo Vallecano, Feyenoord, Sevilla and Real Madrid.

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s future at Real Madrid has become uncertain after the England defender slipped to third choice at right-back, with Federico Valverde and Denzel Dumfries now preferred in the position.

Since 15 September, Alexander-Arnold has played only once for Real Madrid, appearing against Villarreal before being substituted in the 52nd minute. He also made only a brief appearance in the Clasico.

The former Liverpool player’s opportunities have been restricted as Jose Mourinho has favoured the more physically imposing options of Valverde and Dumfries, according to Spanish newspaper Sport. Alexander-Arnold’s involvement has largely been limited to matches in which the Portuguese manager believes Real Madrid have a significant advantage.

Only one of his starts has come away from the club’s home ground, in the match against Elche.

Overall, Alexander-Arnold has played seven games this season, totalling just 344 minutes. Dumfries has made three more appearances, started three more matches and accumulated close to 600 minutes.

Real Madrid are scheduled to face Racing Santander in La Liga on 01 November 2026, before playing AEK Athens in the Champions League on 04 November 2026.

A difficult start in Madrid

Alexander-Arnold joined Real Madrid with a major reputation, having been regarded as one of the best players in the world in his position. The Spanish club paid 10 million euros to secure his arrival and make him available for the FIFA Club World Cup, despite his Liverpool contract being due to expire only a few days later.

However, settling into the team has proved difficult. During his first season, he made 30 appearances and started 22 of those matches, but produced a campaign in which his performances fluctuated.

After only a year, Real Madrid recognised the need to put greater faith in Dumfries for the position, while Valverde has continued to demonstrate that he can contribute effectively from the right side.

The experience of wearing the famous white shirt has not developed as Alexander-Arnold had imagined. Only a few months before his move, the defender had spoken about his ambition to win the Ballon d’Or. Since then, his situation has changed considerably and his position at the club is now under scrutiny.

Neither Real Madrid nor the player is currently considering ending their relationship. However, Sport reports that a continued lack of playing time could lead both sides to reassess Alexander-Arnold’s future in the Spanish capital in the medium term.

Real Madrid defender Eder Militao has become the latest footballer to have his home targeted by burglars, with watches and jewellery worth more than 350,000 euros stolen during Sunday’s clasico against Barcelona.

According to Spanish newspaper El Mundo, the break-in took place between 21:00 and 22:00, during the first half of the match. Militao was an unused substitute for Real Madrid, while several members of his family watched the game downstairs at the property in La Moraleja.

At least two intruders reportedly entered one of the upstairs rooms while the match was being played. The stolen items included a Rolex watch valued at about 53,000 euros and a Richard Mille watch worth almost 170,000 euros.

Three Chanel bags, estimated to be worth around 15,000 euros, were also taken. The haul included Cartier rings and bracelets valued at approximately 25,000 euros, as well as further jewellery, bracelets and travel bags.

The total value of the items reported stolen is more than 350,000 euros.

Police attended the house alongside security staff from the gated residential complex. Residents had not noticed any suspicious activity while the burglary was taking place.

When officers searched Militao’s room, they found its contents scattered, indicating that it had been forcibly searched during the break-in.

Al Hilal moved back to the top of the Roshn Saudi League with a 2-0 win over Al Fateh at Kingdom Arena on Saturday, recovering from their recent continental setback against Qatar’s Al Shamal in the AFC Champions League Elite.

Ollie Watkins and Ruben Neves scored the goals as Al Hilal secured another league victory in the 12th round. The result took Simone Inzaghi’s side to 30 points, two clear of Al-Qadsiah and Al-Nassr, who both have 28.

Al Fateh remain 16th on six points after another defeat.

Al Hilal had been seeking a response after losing 3-1 to Al Shamal, while also aiming to maintain their winning run in domestic competition and keep the pressure on their rivals at the top of the table.

They made a fast start, taking the lead in the 12th minute. Watkins reacted first after a shot struck the crossbar, turning the rebound into the net to put Al Hilal ahead.

The goal was Watkins’ fifth in the Roshn Saudi League this season.

Al Fateh almost levelled five minutes later when Wilfried Kanga directed a cross towards the bottom corner with a header. Yassine Bounou produced an excellent save to preserve Al Hilal’s advantage.

The visitors continued to control the match and had 70% possession during the first half. Watkins came close to scoring again in the 37th minute after running on to a pass behind the defence, but his powerful effort was diverted for a corner.

The closing stages of the half were dominated by two controversial VAR decisions.

A penalty was initially awarded to Al Fateh in the 44th minute, but the referee overturned the decision after reviewing the incident on the pitch-side monitor. According to refereeing analyst Mohamed Kamal Risha, the ball had struck Mourad Batna’s arm rather than the hand of Al Hilal defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

In added time, the referee reviewed another incident, this time involving a possible penalty for Al Hilal, but that decision was also cancelled. Al Hilal therefore went into the interval 1-0 ahead amid protests over both calls.

Al Fateh increased their attacking efforts after the break, while Al Hilal looked for a second goal to settle the contest. Their defensive organisation and Bounou’s performance kept Al Fateh out.

Jamal Sellami made several changes to try to revive Al Fateh’s attack. In the 79th minute, Inzaghi replaced Nasser Al-Dawsari with Mohammed Kanno to strengthen Al Hilal’s control in midfield.

The decisive moment arrived in the 91st minute, when Neves converted a penalty to make it 2-0 and end Al Fateh’s hopes of a comeback.

Al Hilal are listed to face Shabab Al Ahli Dubai in the AFC Champions League Elite on 03 November 2026. Al Fateh are listed to play Riyadh in the Roshn Saudi League on 06 November 2026.

Roma moved within one point of Serie A leaders Inter Milan and Lazio after sweeping aside Udinese 5-2 away from home on Saturday.

The victory took Roma to 24 points from 10 matches, leaving them third in the table. Udinese remain second from bottom on five points after suffering another heavy defeat during one of their poorest spells of the season.

Roma took control in the 10th minute when Bryan Cristante headed in Wesley’s cross. The visitors then went close to extending their lead, but Matias Soule and Donyell Malen both struck the post with efforts in quick succession.

Their pressure soon produced a second goal. Cristante released Rodrigo Mora with a pass into the penalty area in the 32nd minute, and Mora finished the move to put Roma firmly in command.

Two minutes later, Malen made it 3-0. He received the ball from Soule, brought it under control and fired a left-footed shot into the net.

Roma added a fourth before half-time. Soule’s corner was met by Evan Ndicka, whose header went in as Udinese supporters at the Bluenergy Stadium voiced their frustration at the home side.

Roma eased off after the break, with their substantial advantage allowing manager Gasperini to make several changes and give some players a rest. The drop in intensity gave Udinese an opportunity to take the initiative and attempt a comeback.

Udinese pulled one back in the 50th minute through Niccolo Zaniolo, who scored against his former club. Lennon Miller’s shot from outside the box took a deflection and forced goalkeeper Julini to parry the ball. Zaniolo reacted quickest to the rebound and followed up to score.

The home side reduced the deficit further in the 78th minute. Matteo Palma met a loose ball after Hassane Kamara’s attempted clearance and struck a superb first-time finish into the net.

Udinese almost made it 4-3 four minutes later when Unai Gomez sent a powerful effort narrowly wide of the right-hand post. Julini had to dive across to monitor the shot.

But Udinese’s revival eventually ran out of momentum, and Roma had the final say in stoppage time. In the second minute of added time, Daniele Ghilardi completed the scoring after receiving a pass from Castro and making a late run forward before driving a powerful shot into the net.

Almeria’s match against Eibar was temporarily suspended after a supporter fell from the stands while celebrating the Andalusian side’s opening goal.

The incident happened in the 20th minute, shortly after Kim Jun-yent put Almeria ahead. Players and officials were left concerned as medical staff attended to the fan, prompting the referee to stop play.

Almeria had taken the lead after a well-worked team move. A series of quick passes opened up the Eibar defence before the ball reached Arribas inside the penalty area. He immediately laid it off to Kim Jun-yent, who finished into the net without difficulty.

The celebrations were cut short when the supporter fell from the stand. The referee then called for medical assistance and asked both teams to leave the pitch while emergency crews dealt with the situation.

An announcement at the stadium said: “For the safety of those present, the match has been suspended for a few minutes.”

There was a period of uncertainty while the fan received treatment, but the supporter recovered after being given medical attention. The match resumed normally in the 25th minute, with Almeria still leading 1-0.

The schedule information accompanying the match listed Eibar’s Copa del Rey fixture in Pamplona on 03 November 2026, followed by a Segunda Division match between Girona and Almeria on 08 November 2026.

Bayern Munich were denied victory by Borussia Dortmund as the Bundesliga’s top two played out a 2-2 draw in the German Klassiker at Allianz Arena on Saturday.

The result kept Bayern Munich at the summit with 18 points, while Borussia Dortmund remain second on the same tally. The hosts lead only on goal difference, meaning neither side was able to establish a clear advantage at the top of the table.

Borussia Dortmund thought they had taken the lead in the 34th minute when Job Bellingham found the net. The goal was ruled out, however, after the referee judged that a foul had been committed against Bayern goalkeeper Jonas Urbig.

Bayern Munich responded four minutes later. Konrad Laimer broke forward and finished after going one-on-one with Gregor Kobel to put the home side in front.

Harry Kane then had the opportunity to extend Bayern’s advantage in the 56th minute, but his penalty struck the crossbar. Borussia Dortmund took advantage of the reprieve, with Serhou Guirassy restoring parity in the 60th minute with a shot from inside the penalty area.

The hosts regained the lead six minutes later. French defender Dayot Upamecano headed in after receiving a decisive headed pass from Kane, moving Bayern Munich back in front at 2-1.

Borussia Dortmund, though, produced a late response. Substitute Fabio Silva scored in the 89th minute to secure a 2-2 draw and prevent Bayern from claiming all three points.

The match also brought a series of injury setbacks for Bayern Munich. Three members of their attacking line were forced off, with Ismael Saibari leaving in the 29th minute, Serge Gnabry going off two minutes later and Michael Olise being withdrawn in the 84th minute.

Those injuries came at a difficult time for Vincent Kompany’s side. Bayern Munich were already without several players, including Luis Diaz and Jamal Musiala, while their manager is also suffering from illness.

Bayern now face a crucial test in the UEFA Champions League. They travel to face Atletico Madrid on Tuesday, 03 November 2026, in the fourth round of the competition, with the German champions facing further uncertainty over the fitness of their attacking players.

Tottenham Hotspur took advantage of Crystal Palace’s early red card to secure a 2-0 victory in the Premier League on Saturday, earning a third consecutive win and moving up to eighth with 12 points.

The result also provided relief for Manchester United, who remain one place above the relegation zone. United lost 2-0 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge earlier in the same round of fixtures and are level on points with Crystal Palace.

Palace began cautiously at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, sitting deep and looking to frustrate the hosts, while Tottenham tried to impose themselves from the opening stages.

The visitors nearly made the breakthrough in the 10th minute when Daichi Kamada tested Antonin Kinsky, but the Tottenham goalkeeper dealt with the effort.

Palace’s task became considerably harder shortly afterwards. Jean-Philippe Mateta was initially shown a yellow card in the 12th minute for a forceful challenge on Micky van de Ven. However, after a video assistant referee review, the decision was changed to a red card, leaving Palace with 10 players from the 13th minute.

Tottenham were also shown a yellow card soon afterwards, with Archie Gray cautioned in the 15th minute. The hosts then made their numerical advantage count in the 25th minute.

Gray was left unmarked at the far post when Tottenham won a corner and rose to head the ball into the net, giving Spurs the lead.

Tottenham continued to apply pressure after the interval, but Crystal Palace goalkeeper Henderson kept his side in contention. He produced a save to deny a powerful effort from Dominic Solanke in the 51st minute and stopped another attempt from Robertson in the 71st.

The second goal arrived two minutes later. Jan Paul van Hecke headed home from a cross delivered by Matias Fernandez from the left, putting Tottenham in firm control.

Dejan Kulusevski replaced Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush in the 77th minute, after Marmoush had made little impact on the contest.

Henderson was called upon again in the 81st minute, making another strong save, this time from Sandro Tonali. Palace then missed an opportunity to reduce the deficit in the closing stages when Kudus headed a cross from Luca Williams-Barnett over the bar from close range in the 90th minute.

Williams-Barnett made his first Premier League appearance during the final stages, coming on for Mathys Tel in the 88th minute.

Tottenham saw out the remainder of the match to claim another three points, while Crystal Palace stayed on seven points in 18th place, third from bottom.

Le Havre have dismissed head coach Didier Digard and accepted chairman Jean-Michel Roussier’s resignation after Friday’s 5-1 home defeat by Paris Saint-Germain.

The French Ligue 1 club are winless and bottom of the table with two points. The damaging loss to PSG proved the decisive moment for Le Havre’s American owners, Blue Crow Sports Group.

In a statement, the owners said they had “accepted the principle of Mr Jean-Michel Roussier’s resignation from his position as chairman”.

Roussier’s departure will be formally confirmed at a board of directors meeting on Thursday.

The club also said it had placed Digard on precautionary suspension while further decisions are considered as part of ongoing proceedings.

“Furthermore, Le Havre Athletic Club has notified its coach, Didier Digard, of his precautionary suspension pending further decisions within the framework of ongoing proceedings,” the statement added.

Jair Karam, Le Havre’s youth teams director, has been appointed interim head coach. He will take charge of the first team from Monday, when the squad returns to training.

Digard becomes the second Ligue 1 manager to lose his job this season. Lens dismissed German coach Dino Toppmoller after he had overseen only six league games.

Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund remain unbeaten and level at the top of the Bundesliga after a dramatic 2-2 draw in Der Klassiker.

The result was only the fifth time in 18 meetings that Borussia Dortmund, known as Die Schwarzgelben, have avoided defeat against Bayern.

Bayern supporters paid tribute to Harry Kane before kick-off after he became the club’s first player to win the Ballon d’Or since 1981. However, it was Michael Olise who came closest to opening the scoring in the early stages, striking the right post with a low effort from the edge of the penalty area.

Dortmund responded well, with Jobe Bellingham forcing a strong save from Jonas Urbig after shooting from 20 yards. Ismael Saibari then broke clear for the hosts, but Gregor Kobel came off his line quickly to block the forward’s attempted finish.

The match burst into life during the final 15 minutes of the first half. Bellingham appeared to have scored his first Bundesliga goal, only for it to be ruled out because Carney Chukwuemeka was judged to have obstructed Urbig.

Bayern took the lead two minutes later. Konrad Laimer collected Olise’s flicked pass before finishing past Kobel at the second attempt.

Dortmund began the second half positively, but Bayern were soon awarded a penalty after Felix Nmecha handled Kane’s volley. Kane had previously scored 25 of his 26 Bundesliga penalties, but his first attempt since winning the Ballon d’Or struck the crossbar.

Dortmund made the most of the reprieve. Chukwuemeka surged into the penalty area and cut the ball back for Serhou Guirassy, who needed only one touch before placing his shot into the near corner.

The visitors’ celebrations were short-lived, though. Joshua Kimmich delivered a cross to the far post, where Kane had been left unmarked. The England captain headed the ball across the face of goal and Dayot Upamecano bundled it in to restore Bayern’s advantage.

Bayern had further opportunities to extend their lead, but Dortmund punished them again with just over a minute remaining. The ball fell to substitute Fabio Silva inside the area and he produced an excellent finish into the far corner.

Lennart Karl then hit the crossbar, but Bayern could not find a winning goal before the final whistle. The draw means they have won only one of their past four home Bundesliga meetings with Dortmund.

Dortmund’s late equaliser underlined their resilience and the strength of their squad as they continue their pursuit of a first Meisterschale since 2011/12.

Flashscore Man of the Match: Konrad Laimer (Bayern Munich)

Real Madrid defender Eder Militao’s house was burgled while he was on the bench for his team’s 2-1 win over Barcelona in El Clasico on Sunday.

According to El Mundo, thieves entered the Brazil international’s home through a bathroom window on the third floor before searching his bedroom. Bags, watches and jewellery worth €350,000 were taken.

Militao’s family were inside the property at the time, watching the match on the ground floor. They did not notice anything unusual during the burglary.

The incident is the latest in a series of robberies involving high-profile footballers in Spain in recent years.

Former Barcelona forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the victim of an armed robbery in 2022, during which he suffered a broken jaw.

Real Betis striker Troy Parrott and former PSG goalkeeper Sergio Rico were also targeted in robberies this month.

Mostafa Mohamed played the second half of Konyaspor’s 4-0 home defeat by Galatasaray in the Turkish league on Friday, 30 October.

The Egypt international replaced Jackson Muleka at half-time, with Konyaspor already two goals behind at the MEDAS Stadium in Konya.

Victor Osimhen opened the scoring for Galatasaray in the 12th minute, heading the visitors in front. Yunus Akgun then doubled their advantage in the 28th minute with a long-range strike.

Konyaspor responded by introducing Mohamed for the second half, but the attacking change did not prevent Galatasaray from extending their lead.

Aleksey Batrakov made it 3-0 in the 49th minute before Rafael Leao converted a penalty six minutes later. The result was settled with more than half an hour still to play.

The defeat left Konyaspor with eight points from 10 matches and provisionally 15th in the table. Galatasaray moved on to 25 points and kept their place at the top of the championship.

Konyaspor’s next fixture is away to Samsunspor. The club said their players would return to training on Saturday, 31 October, to prepare for that match.

The case concerns financial transfers totalling 105,500 euros, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. Prosecutors allege the money was connected to a group suspected of importing cocaine from South America into Europe.

Nainggolan is accused only of money laundering and is not alleged to have been involved in distributing drugs.

The Brussels public prosecutor’s office is also seeking a fine of 105,000 euros for the 37-year-old.
